The brief
The client was building their dream new home on the site of their previous property. They contracted the services of TL to assist with interior architecture, furniture layout, furniture selection and choosing all finishes throughout the property.
Planning process
It was great to be appointed during the early stages of the process, just as the foundations of the house were being laid. This allowed us to look at the property from the inside out and make the necessary adjustments to suit the interior.
How it went
The project went superbly well. We managed to achieve the understated luxury that the client was after. We also managed to integrate existing existing pieces of furniture which was a key mandate of the client. Incidentally, this property attracted some wealthy overseas investors since and has been subsequently sold for a considerable sum.
Any issues/problems you had to overcome during the project?
The client and architect didn’t have a very good working relationship. Therefore Tailored Living was able to take over the interior architecture and change features like the stair case opening, replacing what was previously a square opening for a round stairs. We were also able to change ceiling levels to incorporate and enhance lighting. Early introduction of designers pays dividends.
