Interior Design in Granary Square, King’s Cross

The Brief
A bright and stylish living room in a contemporary apartment on Canal Reach, a cobbled street just off Granary Square and “Coal Drops Yard”. The apartment has an awkward shaped living room where the client wanted to create a comfortable, practical and beautiful interior. The client also had a number of Objects d’Art acquired throughout their trips that they wanted to incorporate in the scheme.

Planning Process
The first thing we considered when determining the style to follow was the modern architecture of the space. It was also the architecture of the existing space that informed the layout and shape of the furniture to recommend. As the room gets narrower towards the current media unit, it was very obvious from the onset that a very straight linear sofa would only emphasise this aspect further.

How it Went
Careful consideration to detail comfort and style was a top priority in order to reflect our clients personality, whilst remaining faithful to the room architecture. At Tailored Living Interiors, we have great spatial awareness that translates into an ability to develop amazing interiors. It didn’t take us long to work out the perfect solution.

Issues / Problems Overcome During the Project
A round sofa was presented to our client as this would make the room more aesthetically appealing. It was also an excellent way to soften out the awkward room shape, thereby enhancing the overall scheme. This in turn made the room more functional, pleasant and liveable.
